Job Summary
Responsibilities include inspecting the mechanical components and engine of all company vehicles, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs and maintenance on all company vehicles.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Complete daily inspection checklist of all vehicles including oil, coolant, other fluids, lights, signals, panels, and complete exterior, etc.
- Perform quarterly service (partial/full) on all company vehicles, as scheduled by Facilities Management.
- Perform General repairs as required.
- Prepare a full detailed report of any works outside of basic service before commencing any works on vehicles. (Report should entail issue, cause of the issue, how the issue will be fixed, parts, cost of parts, and downtime of the vehicle)
- Keep records of dates of service, tires, and battery replacements.
- Schedule date and time of the ‘expected downtime’ of each vehicle.
- Maintaining and updating records.
- Other various tasks as assigned.
Qualifications needed:
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in similar role.
Experience Needed:
- Advanced understanding of auto mechanical procedures and techniques.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A team player with proven success in relationship-building
- Must be well-organized and can prioritize tasks.
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours including weekends, public holidays and evenings.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Strong understanding of general auto-mechanical processes and methods
