Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the coordination, planning, execution, and monitoring of supply chain operations within an organization. This role encompasses documentation tasks, including the preparation of paperwork for outbound shipments and the review of shipment documents such as Bills of Lading (BOL), invoices, and packing lists. Additionally, it involves maintaining inventory of shipping supplies to ensure seamless and efficient operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Logistics Manager in all facets of warehouse operations, offering comprehensive support.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding any logistics-related issues.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Quality, Planning, and Purchasing to address and resolve queries promptly.
  • Perform duties such as stocking shelves, organizing cartons, and conducting regular inventory counts.
  • Follow sales orders to prepare goods designated for shipment.
  • Manage routine maintenance of delivery vehicles, including trucks, vans, and motorcycles.
  • Provide support to the Sales Department in servicing clients as required.
  • Offer suggestions within the scope of responsibility to the Logistics Manager as needed.
  • Support effective resource management and assist in planning work within dispatch through load creation.
  • Coordinate incoming goods and daily dispatches according to specified requirements.
  • Adhere to procedures for processing non-conforming goods or returns as necessary.
  • Contribute to the planning and tracking of the shipment of finished orders.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs to support all planned finalized orders.
  • Interpret and analyze relevant departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), providing recommendations as needed.
  • Stay updated on dispatch, logistics planning, and effective supplier management.
  • Generate accurate reports to track performance, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities within the unit.
  • Undertake any other tasks assigned to ensure comprehensive support across various responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 2+ years’ trade experience in related field.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Proven experience in stock control and a good knowledge of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety
    standards
  • Flexibility- Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and
    evenings.
  • Capable of independently and successfully completing projects without supervision or assistance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion and measurements
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.
