Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining and providing a safe environment for the entire operations as it relates to plumbing systems on a daily basis for all local Island Luck branches and related companies. To ensure that all equipment are properly functioning and provide overall support to the Facilities/Maintenance Department.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and draining systems
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems and fixtures at all facilities
  • Perform plumbing system installation at new properties
  • Examine previously installed plumbing systems at facilities
  • Repair any previously installed systems that require it
  • Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets etc
  • Modifies length of pipes, fixtures and other plumbing materials needed for a building
  • Usage of saw and pipes cutters as necessary
  • Maintain current knowledge of current safety regulations and requirements for the various plumbing systems that a company installs and maintains
  • Work carefully to ensure that all installed systems pass inspections by adhering to all current plumbing regulations
  • Communicate effectively with team members and coworkers
  • Maintain a work log, keep accurate records of time spent, description of work performed and material used at various facilities
  • Perform other task assigned


  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3+ years’ trade experience as a plumber
  • Apprenticeship and or Journeyman certification

Experience/Skills Required

  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
  • Good knowledge of various test equipment, building codes, safety regulations and safety practices
  • Good working knowledge of water supply, heating and ventilation systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
  • Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron and cooper
  • Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings
  • Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion and measurements
  • Effective problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be well- organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks
