Job Description

Job Summary

Ensure the safety and security of our premises by monitoring alarm systems and responding to alerts promptly and effectively. Additionally, demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor incoming signals from various security systems, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, and panic alarms.
  • Assess the nature and severity of alarms and alerts, taking appropriate action based on established protocols and procedures.
  • Coordinate with emergency services and relevant stakeholders, providing accurate and timely information during security incidents or emergencies.
  • Documenting and maintaining detailed and accurate records of all incidents, alarms, and actions taken, ensuring thorough documentation for future reference.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOP) and protocols for alarm response, escalation, and resolution.
  • Vigilantly monitoring multiple systems simultaneously to detect any threats or irregularities in security feeds or alarm signals.
  • Anticipate potential issues and take preventive measures to enhance the efficiency of the alarm monitoring and response process.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to internal customers during alarm events, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and relevant departments to share critical information and enhance overall security measures.
  • Engage in continuous training to stay updated on the latest security technologies, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma 
  • Certifications or training in security systems or monitoring procedures preferred.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Experience: Prior experience in alarm monitoring, security operations, or a related field is welcome.
  •  Proficiency in using alarm monitoring software and systems; familiarity with access control, and fire alarm systems is beneficial.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to remain calm and composed during highly – stress situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
